A Dog House 2011

A Dog House 2011
Dog house plans are very easy to follow. You get to build a quality home for your dog, the way you want it and the right size for him.

1. It must protect your dog from the weather, providing shelter from the rain and wind. It must also be ventilated properly to stop a dog overheating on very hot days.

2. An insulated dog house is very important for the good health of a dog that lives outside all year in extreme temperatures.

3. The location of a dog house is very important. It must be placed in the shade during the hot summer and facing away from the cold wind in the winter.

4. Your dog should have enough space to turn around, lie down and stretch out comfortably. If you make a dog house too big, he will not be able to produce enough body heat to stay warm. He will be even colder if there is a wind blowing into his house. A flap over the doorway will help to keep out drafts.

5. The floor should be off the ground to help stop the wood rotting and protect against possible flooding.
